Hack The Mainframe are an awesome band that are wowing fans around their hometown and beyond, as they bring 90s punk music back into 2018 with a modern twist and their signature style. These guys are fans of punk music, hailing some of their biggest inspirations as Bad Religion and NOFX.
Their love of music is obvious in the songs that they play for their army of followers who have supported them through their so far, short but energetic career. Originally from Newcastle,, Australia and after many years of practicing together, Hack The Mainframe first hit the local music scene in 2015 but their debut EP ‘Trapped Online’ was not actually released until the end of 2016. Since that EP, the band vowed to keep working harder and evolving and they’ve definitely stayed strong on that promise, which you’ll see from their recent album.
While these guys don’t like to be taken too seriously, their tracks are frickin amazing and you can tell how much they adore their craft! When they first hit the scene, they mostly started performing with other local bands and even at a few festivals around Australia. While they take inspiration from other punk bands past and present, Hack The Mainframe are definitely one of a kind with their insane riffs, fast drumming and seamless vocals. They work really hard at what they do because they genuinely care about being a band that continue to grow as artists. The alternative band as it stands today is made up of Heath Rowley on vocals, Nick Oberg on guitar, Leroy Markwell on guitar, Paddy Demps on bass and Zac Thomas on drums. They have such an amazing vibe when they are together both on and off of the stage, so it’s no wonder why they are becoming very successful. The guys are signed to PEE Records who are a really cool record label, welcoming the underdog pop punk rockers onto their list of other epic bands. Their debut album titled “Disorders of consciousness” was released in 2017 and Hack The Mainframe are now touring all over Australia in order to promote it. Their peers and punk fans alike don’t have a bad word to say about these guys because there really is nothing negative to say! The boys who are also good friends play awesome music and this shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.
